ZimUnited Wins 8 in a Row!!! 15.06.2008

After losing 5-2 to Woolston Foundry in first Sunday League Football round, the Green Machine came back at them with a stellar display of talent today at Cuthberts Green (a.k.a. Pitch of Pain). The result: 4-1 to ZimUnited.

The opposition team were shaken by the early goals from "Mr Hairdo" (Kenny) and "Mr Happy Feet" (Dougie). Woolston lost their mojo and spent the remainder of the match desperately trying to recover it. At one point they resembled dogs chasing their tails - they could see the ball but they just couldn't catch it! One supporter urged the ZimUnited to ease off the other team as striker was about as accurate as a two-year-old boy's first attempt at potty training.

According to an onlooker, the referee's calls in the first half seemed biased towards the Woolston Team. Despite this fact they still couldn't make the ball find the net. The score at half-time: 3-nil to ZimUnited.

The referee's calls continued to astound some players and spectators in the second half (with a new ref on pitch).

Just before full time a free kick was awarded to Woolston which they converted into points after ZimUnited slackened their defense at a critical moment of play.

When the final whistle blew the look on Woolston's faces said one thing "I can't believe how poorly we played today. We were dealt a can of whoop-a$$."

Following today's performance ZimUnited now sit at the top of the Division Two Sunday League Table.
