HAMILTON EASTER 2008

Invite & Tournament Proposal.

PROPOSAL

ONE DAY TOURNAMENT

Having participated in the inaugural one day Zim Easter tournament hosted by Auckland, and the recent two day one hosted by Wellington, the All Stars Council resolved to have the tourney played in one day based on those experiences and other reasons:
 Allow travelling teams to do so comfortably. Friday will be set as a travelling/touring day. All teams arrive in Hamilton on Friday and get a chance to rest before games.
 Saves visiting teams close to Hamilton, Auckland and Rotorua in particular from unnecessary motel rents and or 2day travel to Hamilton.
 Allows visiting teams from afar [Christchurch, Palmerstone and Wellington] a chance to tour Hamilton and middle north island on the Friday or Sunday before departing.
 Allows travelling teams time to tour ,catch up with friends, and above all rest b4 departing Hamilton

DATE: SAT 22-03-08
 Will be a full day of fun, games, socialising and entertainment.

VENUE: PORRIT STADIUM-HAMILTON.
 4 fields.
 Finals in main stadium.
 Wanderers united Club house for drinks and facilities to shower and hang around (for those not booked in motels) b4 the evening party.

KICK OFF: 9:00AM FIN: 18:00.

 Allows all teams to be by the venue and ready to play & party.

PARTICIPATION FEE: NZ $150-00/ TEAM.
 Covers Grounds and officials.
 Change to be donated to next hosts.


LUNCH [12:00-13:00]
 Enough time for players to have lunch and rest

COST $10-00/ REGISTERED PLAYER.
 Very subsidised.

 Saves players from worrying about food and travelling to shops.
 Keep players from straying off and delaying game start times.
 Proceeds from sales to be given to next hosts.

AFTER GAMES FUNCTION.

STARTS 19:00 FIN PUNGWE
 Gives players time to catch a bath btwn 6 to 7 and travel to hall.
 Players and supporters mix and mingle in a relaxed atmosphere.
 Awards and entertainment “GALORE” PUNGWE

VENUE: PUKETAHA HALL HAMILTON.
 Situated just 5km away from fields, East of Hamilton in the farming area, the venue is just right for the function, lots of parking space, away from snooping and ever noise whinging city dwellers.

TIME: 19:00-20:00 DINNER SERVED.

 The ALL STARS CATERING TEAM FEELS AN HR IS ENOUGH AMPLE TIME FOR THEM TO SERVE AT LEAST 400 GUESTS.

COST: PRICELESS.

MENU: ZIM ALACARTEE.

NB: TEAMS MIGHT BE ASKED TO DEDICATE PERSONNELL TO HELP OUT WITH CATERING (SERVING) AT THE HALL.
